Automatic Railway Gate Signaling Simulator and Controller

This project is used for automatically close/open the railways gate when the train comes. Sensors are placed in the two sides of the track. If the train reaches one sensor, the gate will automatically close & then if the train reached the second one the gate will automatically open. The Microcontroller will sense the presence of trains by using Infrared red sensors. So on sensing the train on one path, the controller will give pulses to the stepper motor to close the gate automatically.

For demonstration we can design a model railway track and train passing with advanced simulation style and action using programs. The Controller which we are going to use is PIC 16f877. The same can be shown on computer screen which is optional.
